Siem Reap

Las Vegas in one of the world's poorest countries. Outside of the real one in Nevada, I've never seen so many $200-$300/night hotels clumped together along a dusty strip. Angkor and the other temples are about 6 kilometers away. Air-conditioned vans shuttle people to and fro, with the less fortunate tourists having to make due with tuk-tuks, at $20 to $25 per day. Having the motorcycle here is ideal. It lessens the burden of the $60/week admission ticket to the site and provides the best method to get around at will.

The temples of Angkor are spread out over a vast area. Some are clustered together, others are up to 50 kilometers away.

There is so much to see I've split up the various sites below.

Angkor Wat

Angkor Thom

Phnom Krom

Banteay Srei

Ta Prohm

Bakong
