Quetta
After leaving Dalbandin, the road had more surprises in store. Sand blowing across the desert tends to accumulate in long tongues on the road, licking at your wheels. Some embankments are abrupt, a foot deep and are crossed at very low speed while trying to balance the bike with your feet. No detours today, but plenty of trucks assuming that you will ride into the shallow dirt next to the road when they come at you and honk loudly. All in all an action filled day. Hotel Bloom Star lat/lon was the targeted refuge for the next few days.
Quetta is a good start to Asia. The smell, noise and filth brought me right back to Vietnam and Laos, although this town does it with less grace.
